The hotel has several lovely areas to choose from, ranging from the newly renovated Summit, which overlooks the Mississippi River and accommodates up to 300 guests, to the Historic Victorian Dining Room or the Oak Room, both of which are ideal for smaller wedding parties of up to 75 guests. Our historic lobby features an 1898 pipe organ and spiral staircase, and is a favorite site for a small ceremony. In addition to wedding receptions, the St. James Hotel is also one of the Midwest’s most popular romantic spots for honeymooners. The guest rooms of the St. James invite respite and romance. Each room is uniquely decorated with period furnishings and the beds are adorned with custom designed quilts. Turndown service, complete with chocolates, is customary and the luxurious bathrobes and double whirlpool baths available in select rooms all but guarantee a romantic, memorable evening.
