Enjoy dinner** at the Port or roam the beautiful town of Red Wing, the evening is yours until 8:00 pm.
8:00 pm to 9:00 pm: Meet your facilitators Elizabeth Witt & Kristina Ahern.
Enter into the space of the St. James, and learn about the opportunities you will have during the weekend. Experience movement, breath, and moving into quiet and rest.
9:00 pm to 9:30 pm: Gentle restorative yoga* practice to support a good night’s rest.
Settle for the night in one of our charming Victorian rooms.

8:00 am to 9:00 am: Wake-up and enjoy a light breakfast.
9:30 am to 11:00 am: A yoga* practice to shed the effects of the darker months of the year and support your transition into the light-filled season. Purifying movements and breath work are woven together to help eliminate tension and feelings of heaviness in your body and mind…creating space for light to enter.

11:00 am to 2:00 pm: This is your time, you have 3 hours to yourself for lunch, rest, browse around or get a massage**.
2:00 pm to 5:00 pm: This three hour session is informative and experiential about mindfulness as a means to watch the nature and habits of one’s mind, and to notice the effects of the mind’s preoccupations on the body and the spirit. Mindfulness exercises will be facilitated in order to bring pause to oneself and to focus on well-being.

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Introduction to healthy cooking with Chef Sarah. Includes dinner.

8:30 am to 10:00 am: A yoga* practice to connect to the energy and luminous qualities of light. Postures, breath work, visualization, mantra and meditation are blended to open the body and heart to receive and nourish these qualities within.

After your yoga practice, finish the weekend with brunch** at the Veranda restaurant.
Elizabeth began her practice in yoga and mindfulness in 1997. Her experience with yoga includes private study, workshops, and professional training. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2005 at the Riverbend Yoga Studio with Maggie Kessel. In 2004, Betsy trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn in mindfulness meditation. Betsy offers the Mindfulness Stress Reduction course (MBSR) and mindfulness “One Hour’ courses.
Kristina is an experienced Yoga Instructor (E-RYT500), Member of IAYT and Vedic Chant Instructor, guiding groups and individuals for over 15 years. She has a passion for creating unique practices that integrate movement with breath work, mantra, visualization and meditation. The primary intention of her guided experiences is to support the journey of each individual into the deeper dimensions of their being…encouraging each person’s inner exploration and transformation. She teaches group classes, provides private instruction in yoga, yoga therapy, Vedic chant and leads retreats in the U.S. and abroad.

Make your reservation as soon as possible, space is limited to 24 participants. A minimum of 9 participants is needed for the weekend to take place. A non-refundable $100 deposit per person will be requested at reservation to confirm participation in the event. No show will be charged full price. If the St. James Hotel has to cancel the event for lack of participation, the full deposit will be refunded.
